Bee and PuppyCat is Heeeeeeerrrrreeee!
If any of you weren’t aware, the long awaited (for me anyway) Bee and PuppyCat show has been out since November of 2014! The episodes, or should I say webisodes, is available on Cartoon Hangover YouTube channel. Continuing the story from where the pilot left off, Bee wistfully continues with her life albeit now with a strange companion who’s not really a cat or a dog.
The first and second episodes display what would be the tone of the series with a quiet, playful, and of course magical atmosphere. I especially love the show’s slice-of-life mashup with the magical girl genre. It’s an incredible combination. In episode 3 and 4, the speed appears to pick up quite a bit and as a consequence there aren’t many of those quiet moments I love so much about episode 1 and 2.
Strangely, at the end of episode 4, it was announced that this would be the mid-season finale? I had hope there would be more episodes… Fans are also a little agitated at the slow turn around for each episode. However, I’m all for Natasha (the creator) to have a little time if it means a more thought out series. There are also accompanying comic books which I need to find asap. They’re sold out quite often.
Here’s to more Bee and PuppyCat!
